Women of Faith December 2025
12.01.25 | Women of Faith | by Mary Ellen Martin
The WOF held their last 2025 meeting on Tuesday, November 11th. We are blessed that this year has been filled with exciting projects and opportunities to serve the Lord by serving our church family, community and beyond.
We began the year in January by serving Faith with our Lutheran Women Mission League weekend serving as ushers, readers and greeters. A breakfast was served during Fellowship hour on Sunday morning. We also baked muffins for “Muffins for Mites”. In February the “Itchin to Stitch” displayed and sent out quilts, dresses for young girls, baby layettes, and school backpacks to the Orphan Grain Train to be distributed worldwide. March we hosted the annual Spring Tea and Lenten Soup and Sandwich supper. The congregation was invited to the annual Easter Brunch on Easter morning. During the month of July we collected school supplies for Manatee Elementary School. The congregation generously donated much needed school supplies which were delivered the first week of August. In October we hosted the brunch for Pastor Appreciation Sunday for our three dedicated and caring Pastors. The Combined Reformation Service was held the last Sunday in October and an “Old Timey” potluck was served in the Fellowship Hall following the Service. The WOF greatly appreciate all the help with this meal! The “Cravin to Craft” group worked all year to create items to sell at our yearly Fall Bazaar. Also included is a Bale Sale and Lunch.
Thank you to our congregation for your support of the WOF. Without your help these activities would not be possible.
It has been an honor and a privilege for me to serve the Women of Faith as President the past four years. I have been blessed beyond measure for this opportunity to serve the Lord. This group of ladies is an amazing group and I am grateful for their support and friendship!! At our Christmas Party on December 6th, Krystle Atkins will be installed as our new President. I know she will do very well in this leadership role. Our other officers will be rededicated at that time---Patty Wood, Vice President; Pam Di Sarro, Secretary; Jan Nurenberg, Treasurer; Donna Jean Christy, LWML Representative
Note: Any woman who is a member of Faith Lutheran Church is a member of the Women of Faith. We are always happy to have new ladies attend our meeting----the 2nd Tuesday of the month in the Discipleship Room at 5:30.
Mary Ellen Martin, Outgoing President WOF
