Prayer Matters March 2026

    03.01.26 | Prayer Matters

I am truly blessed to be able to share my thoughts in this month’s Prayer Matters.  First, let me introduce myself (Ken) and my wife (Angela).  After owning, and renting our property to Snow Birds for many years, we were able to retire a few years ago, and make our place our own.  High on our priorities at that point was to find a spiritual home.  That lead us to Faith.

Finding FLC was no fluke.  It was another step in the prayer journey God has had for me, and us, on for many years.  My testimony is filled with many examples of prayer, and God’s faithfulness to bring to fruition his promises through his conversations with me.  The main thread through that testimony would be that prayer matters so much to us as individual Christians, and to our Triune God.

Growing up in a Lutheran church my initial thoughts of prayer were the meal prayers, and the long prayer of the church at the end of the service.  I was an acolyte and wanted the service to end.  God broke through though!!  At a Lutheran student retreat in college God spoke undeniably to my mind in a way I could not deny.  I tried, but that is another story, and another part of my testimony.

Prayer has since than been an integral part of my life.  God wants to speak to me, and work through me.  He has directed me in dating and marriage, baby naming, child rearing, career choices, living situations, financial decisions, giftings, and in service unto my God.

Through my Christian walk, one scripture I have clung strongly to is Hebrews 10:25. We are encouraged to not stop going to church, rather go to church and encourage others in that fellowship of believers.  And to continue to increase that encouraging!

The purpose of the Healing Prayer Team at FLC is to lift up and encourage the members of our fellowship to live their fullest life in Christ, our Lord and Savior.  Prayer matters, and God is concerned about ALL matters of our lives.  If you are in need of that encouragement, support, or emotional and physical healing, please reach out to one of our pastors, or a member of the team.  You matter to God, and he wants you to be the fullest, strongest Christian you can be. Be blessed and restored to the fullness God desires for you.
