Matty's Corner

Losing a child is an unimaginable pain, and for parents who have experienced stillbirth, the grief can be overwhelming. It's a journey that no one should have to go through alone. That's why Matty's Corner was created - to provide a safe and supportive space for parents to come together, uplift each other, and find hope in the midst of their pain.

What sets Matty's Corner apart is the personal experience of our founders, Jessie and Nate. They have walked the painful path of stillbirth themselves and understand firsthand the unique challenges and emotions that come with it. Their personal journey has fueled their passion to create a space where parents can grieve together and lift each other up. Their empathy and understanding form the foundation of Matty's Corner, making it a truly special and supportive community.

Our goal is to build a community in Southwest Florida where parents can come together to talk about their babies, share their stories, and raise awareness about stillbirth. Sharing stillbirth stories is not only a way to honor and remember our precious babies, but it also helps to break the silence surrounding this topic. When we open up and share our experiences, we create a ripple effect of understanding and empathy. Other parents who have gone through similar losses can find solace in knowing that they are not alone. Friends, family, and the wider community can gain a deeper understanding of the pain and grief that parents face after stillbirth.

Our support group gatherings provide a safe and welcoming environment for parents to come together and engage in open and honest conversations. Sitting around a table and sharing their stories, parents find comfort and understanding in the presence of others who truly comprehend their pain.

If you are a parent who has experienced stillbirth, we want you to know that you are not alone. Matty's Corner is here to provide meaningful support and assistance, to bring parents together, and to create connections that can help heal the heart. Reach out to us, join our support group meetings, and let us walk this journey with you. Together, we can find solace, strength, and hope in each other's stories.

This support group is specifically tailored for parents who have walked the path of stillbirth. We understand the unique challenges and emotions that accompany this profound loss, and we are here to offer companionship and support as you navigate this journey.

In most states in the US, stillbirth is defined as the death of a baby that occurs at 20 weeks gestation or later, before the moment of birth. We recognize the significance of this distinction and welcome parents who have experienced stillbirth.

Our meetings take place in person the first Tuesday of each month, providing a regular opportunity for connection, sharing, and healing. Whether you're in need of a listening ear, seeking guidance, or simply yearning for the comfort of understanding company, our support group is here to walk alongside you.

We are honored to be chosen as FLC Naples’ December 2025 Mission of the Month.
