    11.01.22 | The Shepherd's Voice | by Sam Maconachy

    In God’s great redemption story, the Lord Himself never ceases to pursue His people and draw all of them unto Himself. One of the great promises the Lord makes is that His very presence is with us. It is the strong undercurrent that runs powerfully in His holy Word. Too many times to count, and wonderfully so, the Lord reminds us that He is with His people.

    Deuteronomy 31:8

    It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you;
    He will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”

    Joshua 1:9

    “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

    Isaiah 41:10

    “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”

    Hebrews 13:5-6

    “Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for He has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?”

    ...And of course...

    Matthew 28:18-20

    “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” – Jesus –

    Those are but a few repetitive and righteous reminders that God is very serious when it comes to how much He wants to be with us. Leading us. Helping us. Providing for us. Protecting us. Saving us. So serious in fact, He came down (John 1) from heaven to be with us, bear our burden of sin, kill it on the cross, and give the promise of new life with Him forever in His resurrection. Because God’s Word incarnate, Christ Jesus, is risen from the dead, God’s presence is very real and He is with us every moment and every day. Do not fear or be dismayed dearly beloved family of Faith, the Lord is with you!

    Christ is risen from the dead, Alleluia. Pastor Sam
