General Update - March 2024

In Gratitude for Divine Inspired Generosity

Dear Fellow Members of Faith Lutheran Church,

If you have not yet had the opportunity to visit our newly restored Memorial Garden.  After many years, we decided that much of the almost 40-year-old landscaping had outlived its potential lifespan.  Please be aware that great caution was taken during the renovation to ensure that no cremains were removed from this holy place.  All soil and sand were diligently washed from all roots prior to removal.  Our Memorial Garden is again a beautiful place of rest for our dearly departed.

We, at Faith, must be thankful and praise our Lord for the giving spirit of Driftwood Nursery and the entire Hazelett family for their ongoing generosity to our Congregation.  All labor and landscaping materials were completely gifted to Faith Lutheran by Driftwood Nursery.  We are blessed as they share their time and talents with us.  Please also make note of the beautiful new fountain against the east border.  This was also a gift from Driftwood Nursery as a memorial to one of their dedicated employees who lost her life two years ago while working on the Driftwood property.  Thanks to the generous gift from the estate of one of our long-term members, the pavers which were dated and mismatched have been replaced.

If you see one of the Hazelett family, please share our gratitude with them and certainly patronize Driftwood Nursery for all your landscaping and decorative needs.

    In His service,
    Michael L Schmidt, Vice President
    Faith Lutheran Church
